Cooperation with W42 for Recombinant Protein Expression

Protein-based antigens and Virus-Like Particles (VLP) are new in Vibalogics' development and manufacturing service portfolio.

 

Vibalogics has entered into an exclusive partnership with W42 Industrial Biotechnology for the provision of protein production using the expression system Pichia pastoris. With this cooperation, quick strain development for high-level recombinant protein expression is offered. After stable genomic integration one can direct the protein either to the intracellular or to the extracellular compartment.

 

One of the advantages of the Pichia pastoris system is the use of chemical-defined media for production, thus being free of animal components. It is also a WHO-accepted system.
